Miu Miu Portraits by Julie Greve & Lotta Volkova
Girls photographed just as they are, but in Miu Miu clothes. It’s easy to tell someone to be themselves in front of a camera, but it’s not necessarily so
easy to figure out how to be yourself in front of a camera. It’s like having an invisible mirror in front of you. You become very aware of yourself and of your own ‘image’. The young women in these portraits are all on their way into adulthood trying to find an identity for themselves, not only in front of the camera but in their everyday life.
This series of portraits by Julie Greve and Lotta Volkova captures this self-conscious moment one has in front of the camera - the general struggle to find one’s image and identity.
All the models were scouted by Julie Greve through social media and are mainly based in or around her hometown in Denmark. The styling by Lotta Volkova features a variety of pieces from the Miu Miu Prefall 2019 collection and the Fall/Winter 2019 main collection.
