The Fall/Winter 2025 Miu Miu collection by Miuccia Prada is shaped as an evaluation of the feminine. It is a reflection of and upon the meaning of women, expressed through clothes, that provokes discussion and thought.
Construction invents a shape independent from the figure of the wearer, a shape that sits around and beside the body, regardless of its form. The identification of the feminine is synonymous with the curve, here worked into garments or engineered beneath. Clothes are manipulated, folded, shifted and shaped to curve. The power of femininity can transform the fundamentally masculine, clothes freed from confines.
Bras contour the body, reshaping outward views; underwear referenced in pointelle knits, satin dresses and bias skirts. There is a tenderness. Attention is drawn to the décolleté, tailoring and collapsed dresses drawn away, revealing the body beneath.

There is a preoccupation with emblems of the feminine - brooches, bracelets, necklaces, fur capes and stoles. Reiterated often, these signifiers become bold and powerful, serving to amplify, to afford importance to garments inspired by the everyday, here elevated. There is an idea of invention through little, a sensibility of simplicity - felted wool, cotton satin, silk knit. Methodologies of attraction, notions of tactility and sensuality, a study of form. Throughout, there is a respect and consideration of the body.
After a series of transformations, this season the body of the hypostyle of the Palais d’Iéna is valorized. A merit is afforded to the space itself, to its architecture, its truth as a space of industry. Wrapped in yellow moiré, it becomes another bold and unmistakable statement in its direct simplicity.
