A new incarnation of Miu Miu Musings is launched in a conversational series of podcasts featuring international lunch debates, mixing expert opinion with friendly discussion on modern themes relating to resistance.

The first lunch debate was hosted at Spring, London on June 18th, 2019 by Penny Martin with speeches for and against the motion by the journalist Lauren Collins and the design critic and author Alice Rawsthorn. These were followed by a free-flowing debate among guests including Dina Asher-Smith, Dr Anastasia Dedyukhina, Bella Freud, Susie Lau, Russell Tovey, Kirsty Wark and Peter York on the impact of mobile phones in today’s world.

Over a lunch at The Beatrice Inn, New York on October 24th, 2019, the writer and tech expert Aminatou Sow and the writer and curator Charlotte Cotton presented for and against a motion concerning the effects of photographing. Afterwards, guests including Stella Bugbee, Kimberley Drew, Hailey Benton Gates, Heidi Julavits, Pashon Murray, Celia Rowlson-Hall, Doreen St. Félix, Matthew Schneier, Tessa Thompson and Kate Young were only too happy to share their views.

May Chow was resident chef for a lunch hosted by Penny Martin in Beijing on November 20th, 2019, where the writer and podcaster Ann Friedman and the multimedia artist Rosey Chan took on the debate topic of authenticity, with guests including Angel Chen, Estelle Chen, Yoko Choy, Vicson Guevara, Hung Huang, Julia Long, Meng-Yun Wang and Rita Wang.
