To celebrate the Chinese Valentine’s Day, Miu Miu launches a capsule collection of unashamedly romantic product introduced by a video featuring singer, actor and teen idol, Yang Chaoyue.
In the film, Chaoyue – who has won the hearts of millions of young Chinese people and was named one of the country’s most influential people on the cover of China Newsweek earlier this year – sits pretty on a true red velvet day bed wearing printed dresses with sweet white collars, fluffy socks and cardigans, crystal embellished jewellery, signature Mary Jane shoes and patent leather mules with jewelled buckles.
Miu Miu’s most loved accessories are also upheld as objects of desire. They include the matelassé leather Miu Belle and Coffer bags and a special pink heart-shaped purse. The classical representation of the boudoir set is undercut by the star’s sense of play and mischief, by pop neon signage and, of course, by the pieces themselves that are glamorous but always modern and fun at heart.
